OPA manager passes US CPA exams with high marks
Arnold Jimeno, one of OPA's Audit Managers, was recently informed by the Guam Board of Accountancy that he passed the U.S. CPA examination with a remarkable average score of 93.5, including an extraordinary score of 99 on the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FARE) portion of the exam. Mr. Jimeno joined OPA in October 1992 as an Auditor and has moved up the ranks until his promotion to Audit Manager in 2001. He has been involved in procurement appeals and with various audit responsibilities, including audits of CUC in recent months.
Mr. Jimeno joins a growing list of OPA personnel who had successfully passed the U.S. CPA examination. Juan Carlos (Juancho) Robles passed the exam in 2000, and later returned to the Philippines where he now works with one of the Big 5 accounting firms. Dennis Jade Figueroa, currently on OPA's staff, also passed the exam in 2001. Public Auditor Michael Sablan and Audit Supervisor Michael Barto are also holders of U.S. CPA licenses.
As we congratulate Mr. Jimeno for his outstanding accomplishment, we look forward to other similar successes by OPA personnel in the future.
