Janet Taitano-Arroyo – OPA's Employee of the Year

Audit Intern Janet Taitano-Arroyo was recognized as OPA's 2001-2002 "Employee of the Year" in a May 8th ceremony held as part of Public Service Recognition Week activities. In addition to enrolling in OPA's Intern and Professional Development Program and participating in four audits of CNMI agencies in 2001-2002, Ms. Taitano-Arroyo also chaired a special committee that planned, organized, and coordinated the highly successful 2001 Conference of Pacific Islands Public Auditors held on Saipan and Tinian.

In presenting the Employee of the Year award, Public Auditor Mike Sablan announced that Ms. Taitano-Arroyo was specially selected for her continuing exemplary service in government, dedication to OPA, commitment to professional development, and her "impressive organizing skills" displayed in connection with the APIPA conference event. Ms. Taitano-Arroyo was Valedictorian of her NMC graduating class, and has been an employee of the CNMI Office of the Public Auditor since September 1995.
